  • How to Make a $1k/Month Business – This is a software (yes, a software – but like a course too) by Noah Kagan from SPI Podcast Session #71, one of the most popular episodes I’ve had to date (with over 625 comments!), that he’s built to help anyone get started with building a business that will help you get your first dollar and they’ll work with you every step of the way.
  • Earn $1k On The Side by Ramit Sethi – This is Ramit Sethi’s most successful course helping people earn money on the side. It’s called Earn $1k, however many of his students have earned much more than that! Ramit was featured here on the SPI podcast in another top-downloaded episode.


  • E-Junkie: If you just have digital products to sell, and you don’t want the hassle of setting up a shopping cart, or finding affiliates to promote your digital product, then E-Junkie could be for you. They take payment from your customers via Paypal Standard, Paypal Pro, Google Checkout,, TrialPay, Clickbank & 2CheckOut.
  • Clickbank: Another digital products shopping cart solution option. Great marketplace to find affiliates to promote your digital products as well.
  • Paypal is a must have for several reasons. Whether you’re taking payment from customers or getting paid affiliate commissions from companies. Get a Business or Premier account today if you don’t already have one.


  • Market Samurai: A great tool for keyword research!
  • Long Tail Pro: Another top keyword research tool that many claim to be better and more user friendly than Market Samurai.
  • Keyword ResearcherOne of the best tools online for finding popular long tail keywords for your genre or niche.
  • Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool: Another great keyword research tool, with more information and numbers to compare and select the perfect keywords for your niche.
  • Seo Keyword Ranking: Another great tool to keep track of the many keywords you might be working on.


  • Great deal for the price. Unlimited images for just $9.97/month. Wow, hurry while the price stays at that great rate.
  • Another great place to find high-quality, hi-resolution images for your blog, book covers or marketing materials.


  • LeadPages: This is a monthly subscription service that creates great landing pages for your use in building an email list or doing promotions via webinar, etc.
  • A single, one-time purchase, this is a great WordPress plugin. Easy to use, and very versatile. Check out their home page for more details.
  • Another great single, one-time purchase piece of software that plugs right into your WordPress website. Lots of great features loaded into it to build all kinds of great landing pages.


  • If you’re looking for an autoresponder, opt-in form creation tool, and eMail broadcasting system that can upgrade into a full-blown shopping cart, then this could be the solution for you. The problem most list-builders have is once they have their list, they want to sell to it. So? Do they subscribe to a shopping cart service separate from their eMail autoresponder service? Two log-ins? Two monthly fees? The hassle of combining different lists? Ugh!
  • Aweber: If you’re just going to build an eMail list, perhaps this solution is for you. Many people love it and swear by it.

  • Sucuri: They offer a host of website protection services from malicious attacks and hacking that include monitoring, detection and cleanup services.
  • All-In-One Security & Firewall For WordPress: A comprehensive, user-friendly, all in one WordPress security and firewall plugin for your site.


  • LegalZoom: Easy online incorporation or LLC creation.
  • For personal and business tax preparation needs. Simply create your online account (and/or download the software to your computer), answer some basic questions, enter your dollar figures, and then the software generates what you owe in taxes and prints the forms for you to just sign and mail.



  • Camtasia Studio: Records your screen movements (i.e., screen capture). You can also use this program to edit video. There are up to 8-tracks you can place audio, images, call-outs, and more on. Lastly, you can import many forms of audio, image and video media, and then publish your finished file into a variety of video formats (i.e., mov, mp4, wmv, flv, swf, etc.).

  • Omnidazzle: A free service that lets you draw on your screen.
  • Bamboo Pen and Tablet: This is the pen and tablet, which you can use to make drawing on a screen extremely easy.
  • SplashEO (for Awesome Intro and Outro Graphics): If you want professional looking intros and outros for your videos, this is the place to go.
